Economy Spotlight: Gas Prices Soar
With just weeks to go before the midterms, U.S. gas prices are approaching their highest level of the year. The national average for a gallon of gas rose 3 cents late last week, and is up another 2 cents today. According to AAA, the current cost is $4.48 per gallon. That’s just 8 cents below the high set on May 21, when the national average was $4.56 per gallon.
