If you’re a retiree living on a budget or a fixed income, it’s like that the holiday season can be a time of stress and financial worry as much as it is one of joy. Yes, there can be a great deal of pressure over the holidays, especially to purchase gifts for all of your loved ones.
That’s why it pays to be a member of Target Circle, the retail chain’s loyalty club. With it, you get access to new deals automatically, earn rewards and have access to free product trials. And that’s not the only way to save at Target this holiday season.
The giant retailer recently announced that it will be rolling out a massive holiday shopping plan to help consumers stay under budget this holiday season, including lowering prices on 5,000 frequently-shopped items.
Want to learn (and save) more? Here’s how retirees — and others — can save at Target for the holidays.
Target Circle Week Is Coming
Target is giving you the opportunity to get an early jump on the holiday shopping season by launching the Target Circle Week from Oct. 6 through Oct. 12. Per a press release, “Target Circle Week will feature deals on products to help consumers prep for the holidays, along with savings on fall favorites, everyday essentials and more.”
If you haven’t signed up for Target Circle, now’s the time.
Target Deal of the Day Is Back, Too
Along with the Target Circle Week, the Target Deal of the Day is coming as well. For each day of Target Circle Week, there will be a brand new one-day-only deal available. Then, on November 1, the deal of the day will return daily for the rest of the holiday season — just for Target Circle members.
If you’re shopping on a budget, keep an eye on these deals.
Target’s Biggest Holiday Assortment Ever
As noted in their holiday press release, Target is offering their “biggest holiday assortment ever — with 50% more new items than last year — including exclusive products and partnerships.” Expect this Christmas to be the biggest yet in terms of what the retail chain will be selling.
More Affordable Holiday Items
For retirees shopping for grandkids, Target has announced that over 50% of their holiday toys will be under $20. What’s more, they will be releasing thousands of stocking stuffer gifts all priced at under $5.
There will be over 1,000 new toys alone from brands such as Disney, LEGO and FAO Schwarz, much more holiday accessories and apparel than ever before, and over 100 exclusive new beauty gifts from brands like Papatui, Being Frenshe and fine’ry.
The Bullseye’s Playground Is Getting Bigger
Target’s front-of-store value section, the Bullseye’s Playground, will be getting a little bigger this holiday season, expanding with 50 different gifts for the family, with each of them under $5. Additionally, Target “will introduce new Bullseye shop sections in nearly 200 stores,” each of them with new festive holiday gifts with a Target theme, and most of these gifts will all be less than $25, making Target an easy way to save all holiday season.
