GOBankingRates shopped the Home Depot website to find those standout products with the fewest customer complaints, so you can buy confidently.

The DMOS stealth snow shovel with aluminum extendable and collapsible 44-Inch handle currently has a perfect five-star rating based on 142 reviews. Reviewers highlighted the shovel’s compact design and durable construction. Many found it to be versatile and to perform well when removing snow, ice and mud.

CoverGrip Canvas Drop Cloth

• Rating: 4.9/5

The CoverGrip canvas drop cloth is 3 1/2 by 12 feet and seems like a solid choice, based on nearly 300 customer reviews. Many Home Depot reviewers praised the drop cloth’s non-slip design that helps keep it in place on many surfaces. Reviewers also noted how durable the drop cloth is, as well as how easily it can be cleaned. Just four customers submitted a one-star review and one submitted a two-star review. Of those reviews, the main complaints were about the drop cloth’s price being too high.

Everbilt Black Cast Iron House Number

Very few customers have complained about the 6-inch Everbilt black cast iron house number. Out of 150 reviews, only one review is a one-star and no reviews were for two stars. The one-star reviewer didn’t include any feedback. The three-star Home Depot reviews were all identical and submitted by the same customer, who felt the numbers were too large and the paint looked too thick. Other positive reviews praised the number as being heavy-duty, visually appealing, durable and easy to install.

Gorilla Ladders Dual Platform Heavy-Duty Ladder

Having received over 3,700 reviews, the 5-1/2-foot Gorilla Ladders aluminum dual platform heavy-duty ladder with project bucket has maintained an impressive 4.9-star rating. Just 26 Home Depot customers left a one-star review and 11 left a two-star review, meaning this product has very few complaints compared to the overall number of reviews.

Most of the complaints described delivery issues rather than issues with the ladder itself and a few of the complaints described issues with the ladder wobbling. Overall, reviews of the ladder are positive and described it as being sturdy, stable and having convenient storage for tools.  

Henckels Definition Self-Sharpening Knife Block Set

The 14-piece Henckels Definition self-sharpening knife block set has received over 4,400 reviews but maintains a 4.9-star rating. The set received only five one-star reviews and seven two-star reviews. Most Home Depot reviews described the set as being ergonomic, sharp and having quality craftsmanship. Some negative reviews identified issues like a knife arriving with a broken handle or knives missing from the set, but the majority of one- and two-star reviews actually praised the knife set.

Argee Table-Top Gardener Portable Potting Tray

The Argee table-top gardener portable potting tray is another customer favorite, based on reviews. Out of 575 reviews, the tray has received two one-star and two two-star reviews. Most Home Depot customers appreciated the tray’s sturdiness, versatility and overall value for the money. Two of the negative reviews were written by customers who didn’t appear to have bought the product. One customer was disappointed that the tray didn’t work with a stand that they already had, while another described the tray material as being thin.

Ryobi 7 TPI Hand Saw

The 20-inch Ryobi 7 TPI hand saw with steel blade is another one product with nearly perfect ratings. The saw has received 36 reviews and just one of those reviews was for four stars; the rest were for five stars. Most customers described the saw as working well for numerous tasks, explaining that the blade is sharp and the handle is ergonomic. The Home Depot customer who left the four-star review called the saw “wicked sharp and with a positive price point” and didn’t leave any specific negative feedback.  

Milwaukee M12 Fuel Cordless Bandfile

It’s rare for power tools to have few customer complaints, since inevitably customers have different perspectives on acceptable power, noise, ease of operation and more. But the 1/2-inch by 18-Inch Milwaukee M12 Fuel 12V lithium-ion brushless cordless bandfile stands out because, out of 288 reviews, it has a 4.9-star rating. Most Home Depot customers described the tool as being versatile, lightweight and easy to use in tight spaces. Of the four one-star reviews received, one described issues with missing items, one called the tool a battery killer because of low RPMs and one experienced overheating issues.
