Ahead of the fall season, Costco has several new clothing items for sale including pants and jackets in name brands for less than what they’d retail for elsewhere. But just how much money can members save by buying these clothes at Costco?
GOBankingRates price-matched six new Costco clothing items to find out how much shoppers can save at Costco versus a department store or the brand’s retail website. See which six new clothing items save shoppers the most money when they shop at Costco.
DKNY Ladies’ Straight Leg Ponte Pant
- Price: $18.99
If you went to Macy’s and bought a pair of DKNY women’s straight leg pants, your wallet would be set back $99.
At Costco, a similar style from the DKNY brand is available for under $20 in black and gray colors. Affordable price tag aside, the quality of the pants comes highly recommended by customers.
One reviewer, Lesley with a Y, wrote, “I had not seen these in the store so I was not sure what the quality of the fabric would be. They came today and they are the nicest slacks I have ever seen at Costco. The fabric is very soft, they stretch and flatter.”
Columbia Men’s Quarter Zip
- Price: $28.99
At the time of writing this, a men’s half-zip pullover is on sale on the Columbia website for $30. This is a sale price, however, and the regular price is listed at $60.
Meanwhile at Costco, the Columbia men’s quarter zip is priced at $28.99 for members. This saves shoppers a little over $30. The Columbia men’s quarter zip is available in a variety of men’s sizes with colors in tan, blue and black.
Nautica Men’s Mixed Media Jacket
- Price: $29.99
GOBankingRates price matched the Nautica men’s mixed media jacket sold at Costco to the men’s mixed media jacket sold on the Nautica website. The cheaper option is available at Costco for $29.99, compared to the $54.98 shoppers would spend at Nautica.
The mixed media jacket is also available in blue and black on Costco and in men’s sizes ranging from small to XX-large.
Puma Men’s Track Jacket
- Price: $21.99
Need an affordable track jacket this fall? Costco members only pay $21.99 for the Puma men’s track jacket.
A similar track jacket on the Puma website is on sale for $29.99, but is regularly priced at $75.
Eddie Bauer Men’s Flannel Pant
- Price: $21.99
One of the biggest benefits of shopping for the Eddie Bauer men’s flannel pants at Costco is that these pants come in a set of two for $21.99. This comes out to spending about $11 per pair.
In contrast, shopping for similarly styled flannel pants on the Eddie Bauer website would cost you $49.99 per pair and that’s at the current sale price. Regularly, these pants are $60 each.
Burberry Ladies’ Diamond Quilted Thermoregulated Jacket
- Price: $749.99
The last clothing item in this roundup is a little controversial since it’s a Burberry ladies’ jacket for $749.99.
Despite having a much higher price tag than any other clothes on this list, we checked to make sure it’s cheaper to shop the designer brand at Costco and it is. The Burberry website currently sells the same jacket for $950, giving Costco shoppers $200 in savings.
Editor’s note: Prices are accurate as of Oct. 15, 2024. Prices and availability may vary by location.
