While you might be sad to see another summer come and go, at least you can look forward to fall shopping. And of course, the best place to get all your back-to-school and pre-holiday list checked off is at Amazon. But where to start? For a fun experiment, GOBankingRates asked ChatGPT to be our personal shopping assistant to find the best deals this fall on Amazon.
ChatGPT started out by replying that it had found “…some of the top Amazon-worthy deals to snag during fall 2025, especially as Prime Big Deal Days (October) and Black Friday (Nov 28) roll around.” While specific products and links were unavailable at the time, the AI chatbot was able to narrow down categories of Amazon products to keep an eye on this fall to get the best deals based (on trends and data from Fall 2024):
Tech and Electronics
Among AirPods, AirTags, Macbooks and various tablets, ChatGPT found the number one electronic devices to get this fall on Amazon are televisions. For your viewing and purchasing pleasure, ChatGPT highlighted “Samsung Frame TV, Hisense CanvasTV, Amazon Fire TVs and budget models like TCL, Hisense and Panasonic OLED Z85” which offer money-saving value.
Home Appliances
ChatGPT noted that popular Shark, Bissell, Ninja and Instant Pot air fryer deals were featured throughout the season on Amazon during this time the previous year, and found that appliances like Dyson cordless vacuums (V8 Plus, V11, V12, V15, Gen5detect) had discounts up to $200 off.
“Brands like Ninja, Le Creuset, GreenPan, and Our Place were among the most affordable premiums” added ChatGPT.
Fashion
It’s a new season, which means it’s time for a new wardrobe. ChatGPT predicted Amazon will have major markdowns on fall fashion, noting, “quietly launched fall-transition styles under $50 — think cardigan/shacket combos, wide-leg pants, long-sleeve dresses, sneakers” are what to look for.
Beauty and Personal Care
According to ChatGPT, deals on beauty staples like L’Oréal, Cosrx, Crest whitening strips, RoC eye cream and Madison Reed hair kits — with discounts often up to 55 % — should be on your watchlist.
Fall 2025 Deal Strategies
ChatGPT did not just find product categories to shop for this fall, but actually listed out some tips and tricks for Amazon shoppers to get the best deals. The AI recommended the following:
Monitor
“Use price-tracking tools like Keepa or CamelCamelCamel to confirm true markdowns — avoid items inflated pre-deal,” suggested ChatGPT.
Wish List Prep
The chat bot recommended shoppers start now when it comes to putting together their wish lists, and “add desired products ahead of time by enabling alerts in the Amazon app.”
Prime Trial
If you have not already signed up for Amazon Prime, ChatGPT noted it might be wise to “grab a 30-day Prime membership to access members-only offers.
Stack Sales
As an additional bonus for savings, ChatGPT offered that shoppers should “watch for bundle deals like Kindle Unlimited or Fire devices bundled in early Prime deals.”
“Whether you’re restocking essentials, gifting for the holidays or finally investing in premium gear, fall 2025 offers some of the year’s best Amazon savings — especially if you’re prepared to act fast,” ChatGPT concluded.
