President Donald Trump has expressed that he wants to impose tariffs on countries that tax products made in the United States, according to The Guardian. Trump said he’d want these tariffs to go into effect within the next few weeks. He acknowledged that these tariffs could result in prices of goods going up for consumers.

Trump has already implemented a 10% tariff on Chinese-made goods and wants to enact a 25% tariff on Mexican and Canadian goods.

Here’s what consumers can buy now to avoid potentially higher prices in the future.

Clothing

Many fashion brands sold in the United States have factories in China that make their clothes. Brands include Gap, H&M, Uniqlo and Zara. Some of these brands are considered “fast fashion,” and have clothes selling for under $10. Those prices might go up soon due to the tariffs on Chinese goods.

Kitchenware

Some consumers might find that their pots and pans are made in China. China has been known to make lots of items most people find in their kitchens that get sold at American stores for affordable prices. Brands like KitchenAid, Walfos and Amazon Basics all have factories in China.

Tools

Those looking for inexpensive tool sets might have browsed Temu to get a good deal. Some complete tool sets sell on the site for just $12.96. Tools are especially affected, as Trump has enacted a 25% tariff on steel and aluminum imports from China in addition to the 10% tariff on all other imports, according to CNN. Anything made from steel or aluminum coming from China could see a hefty price increase.

Art Supplies

Art sets made in China can sell for pretty cheap. These are especially popular for children, or artists just starting to learn a craft. One marker set with 262 markers sells for $28.75 on Temu. This is made by HEALTH US, which is said to be a company in China under the store’s information.

Hair Care Products

Saving money on hair products might be harder with the new tariffs. Many products like gels, hair dryers and hair care tools are made in China and sold on sites like Amazon and Temu, as well as at American drugstores. Households names like L’Oreal have factories in China, so shoppers could see their prices going up soon.

Shoes

Brands like Nike, Adidas and Steve Madden manufacture some of their products in China. This could mean that everywhere from online vendors to outlet malls that sell these brands could be charging more for shoes. CNN reported Steve Madden is currently looking to move its production out of China to avoid getting hit with the tariffs. Other companies might follow suit, which would be good news for consumers.

Toys

Toys accounted for 77% of Chinese imports last year and these same toys could rise as much as 36% in price, CNN reported. That means that shopping for kids’ birthday parties could get pretty pricey with new tariffs in place.
