There aren’t many times that a Sam’s Club membership comes in handier than when you’re hosting a big holiday gathering — and if everyone is counting on you to bring Thanksgiving to life this year, your favorite money-saving wholesale club can be your one-stop shop.
Members will can always get a discount by buying in bulk, but they can save even more if they stick with as many Member’s Mark products as possible.
Here are some must-have items from Sam’s Club’s exclusive brand for anyone hosting this year’s Thanksgiving festivities.
Pumpkin Pie
- Price: $5.98
It’s not Thanksgiving without pumpkin pie and Costco sells an enormous 58-ounce pre-baked pie that can serve 11-to-14 hungry guests. That’s more than three-and-a-half pounds of sweet, savory, creamy goodness for less than $6. For context as to just how sweet those savings are, Acme sells an 11-inch pie weighing only 38 ounces for $18.99 — more than a pound less pie for over three times the cost.
20-Piece Flatware Set
- Price: $29.98Â
If your tableware needs upgrading — or if you want to invest in a special set dedicated specifically to the holiday parties you host — Sam’s Club sells a 20-piece stainless steel flatware set from Member’s Mark in your choice of polished, matte black or gold. They serve four, so if you’re expecting a crowd, you might want to double or even triple up — and at these prices, you can afford to go big.
At Crate and Barrel, a comparable 20-piece stainless steel flatware set costs $109.95 and that’s after a $10 discount.
Harvest Wreath
- Price: $34.94
Even if they’ve never been there before, your guests will know that your house is the place to be when they see a Member’s Mark harvest wreath adorning your door. It measures a full 26 inches in diameter and is decorated with fall foliage, hydrangea and of course, pumpkins.
Your door will thank you for buying one, but just make sure to buy it from Sam’s Club directly. On eBay, sellers are asking more than double that amount — nearly $84 — for the exact same Member’s Mark wreath.
ContainersÂ
- Price: $24.98
Thanksgiving is the year’s greatest holiday for leftovers — and all that surplus turkey, veggies, yams, mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce has to go somewhere. Sam’s Club is selling a 24-piece glass storage container set of varying sizes, all with their own leakproof snap lids. The entire set is microwave, dishwasher and freezer safe. It’s a good deal.
A nearly identical and highly rated set that earned the Amazon’s Choice designation on Amazon sells for $70.
Veggie Tray
- Price: $4.44 per pound
You want to make the main courses from scratch, but all that cooking leaves little time to prep the starters you’ll need to keep hungry mouths at bay — like veggies and dip.Â
Sam’s Club has a Member’s Mark tray of fresh veggies — including mini peppers, broccoli, celery, carrots and tomatoes — that comes with two, 2-ounce containers of Litehouse homestyle ranch dressing.
At Stop & Shop, you’ll spend $19.99 for a comparable veggie tray.
