Marshalls is one of the go-to stores for all things fashion and home decor at budget-friendly prices. And if you want to refresh your summer wardrobe, Trina Aguirre, founder of Executive Exit Plan, has spent years finding gems for every season at Marshalls without spending a fortune.

“Marshalls has always been my go-to because I can get the brands I love without the prices I hate,” she said. Over the years, she has developed some specific shopping habits that have consistently saved her more than $100 on seasonal wardrobe refreshes.

Here are four ways to save over $100 on your summer wardrobe.

Shop on Tuesday Mornings

The best Marshalls deals go fast, so timing is everything. Trina has found that Tuesday morning is the best time to shop as Marshalls stocks new inventory.

“I swear by Tuesday morning shopping. I’ve noticed this is when most stores put out new merchandise after weekend rushes. Last month, I snagged a gorgeous Calvin Klein blazer for $59 that still had the $495 original tag attached,” said Aguirre.

Visit Multiple Marshalls Stores

Not all Marshalls stores carry the same stock, and Trina scores the best summer collection by visiting multiple stores in her area.

“I rotate between three different Marshalls locations in my area. Each store gets slightly different inventory, and I’ve found patterns in which locations get better designer selections,” she added.

Understand the Markdown Schedule

One of the biggest mistakes shoppers make is buying too early or too late. Trina has learned to track Marshalls’ markdown cycles to predict when prices will be lowest.

“I’ve learned to read Marshalls markdown schedule like a pro. Yellow tags follow predictable patterns. I can usually tell exactly when summer items will hit their lowest price point, usually 3-4 weeks before the season officially changes.”

Check Unusual Places for Abandoned Treasures

Some of the best Marshalls deals aren’t even where you’d expect them to be. Shoppers often change their minds and leave items in random aisles, and Trina has made it a habit to walk around different departments for abandoned items.

“Some of my best finds were items that shoppers abandoned in random departments. Found a Tory Burch top that had been left in the housewares section once. It was like finding treasure,” she said.

If you’re willing to dig a little deeper, these hidden items can lead to some of the most exciting and unexpected summer scores.
