The Super Bowl is about to kick off. The match between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs will take place on Feb. 9 in New Orleans and is anticipated to draw over 203 million viewers, per the National Retail Federation. Many people plan on spending some money on a new TV to prepare for the big game, but is it the best time to buy?
Here’s when the best deals actually are.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday
The day after Thanksgiving, widely known as Black Friday, and Cyber Monday, which always falls on the Monday following the holiday, are typically the best times to buy a TV, according to Trae Bodge, a shopping expert with TrueTrae.
“The best time to buy TVs is over Black Friday and Cyber Monday,” Bodge told U.S. News & World Report. “The discounts will be very deep, especially on last season’s models.”
Days Before the Super Bowl
If you didn’t score a new TV around the holidays, don’t worry. There’s likely a chance to find a good deal prior to the game.
“Right before the Super Bowl is another time for TV deals,” Bodge told the outlet. “People want to see the big game on the best screen possible, and many retailers will offer promotions around that time.”
According to IGN, retailers have replenished their inventory after the holidays and have good availability ahead of the Super Bowl, and shoppers could see “great savings.”
