Let’s look at seven things frugal parents should avoid buying at Old Navy this November and turn to Walmart to buy similar items instead.
Baby Tutu Set
At Walmart, you can get a pretty adorable tutu dress set for babies, like this velvet tulle one for $16.98. At Old Navy, a similar baby outfit goes for $19.99.
Baby/Toddler Coat
We all need to keep warm in winter, but when it comes to kiddos who are already more prone to colds than us, bundling up is of critical importance. At Old Navy, this hooded puffer coat for infants is on sale for $24.99, down from $49.99. But even with that significant discount, it’s still a lot more than this hooded baby parka for $12.99 at Walmart.
Baby/Toddler Onesie (Perfect for Winter)
Another baby apparel essential for winter: a cozy onesie. Walmart sells a thermal cotton onesie for babies or toddler that costs $15.09. This cozy onesie at Old Navy will set you back $22.99.
Big Kids Coat
Of course, big kids need to stay warm, too. This kids’ hooded puffer coat is on sale at Walmart for $19.99 (down from $34.99). Or would you rather buy this kid’s hooded puffer coat at Old Navy for $34.99 — and that’s the 36% off sale price.
Kids Holiday Dress
If you want to doll up your kiddo for the yuletide, you can’t go wrong with this Santa dress at Walmart for $11.98. Meanwhile this kids’ dress (which comes up when you search the Old Navy site for “holiday kids’ dresses) isn’t nearly as festive and costs much more: $24.99.
Kids Holiday Outfit Set
On Old Navy’s site, when you search for “kids’ holiday outfit set” this bow-tied plaid shirt pops up. It costs $22.99. And that’s not even for a whole outfit — just the shirt. Over at Walmart, you can find a complete holiday outfit for kids for much cheaper; for example, this two-piece Christmas-themed sweatshirt and pants set goes for $10.76.
