Summertime and the livin’ is tasty. There are barbeques, cookouts, graduation parties and picnics galore this season, and they all require delectables that will help turn the good times into great memories.

With the cost of groceries at many chain stores and big-box retailers seemingly on the rise, it’s harder to find mouthwatering prices. Enter Aldi. As GOBankingRates previously reported, this summer, Aldi is reducing the prices of many fan-favorite items.

There are so many goodies to find at Aldi that it’s hard to name just a few worthy of consideration. But this list is a helpful place to start before you hit the aisles on your own.

Season’s Choice Frozen Blueberries

Summertime means berry season, from smoothies to start your day to dessert toppings to end it — and snacking in between. While Aldi’s frozen blueberries offer some healthy sweetness all year ’round, the store is offering special pricing on its frozen blueberries this summer. Usually $3.99, they are now $3.59.

Southern Grove Sunflower Kernels

Sunflowers bring a flash of color and joy to everyone who sees them during the peak season — and their seeds are a staple of summertime snacking. That’s why Aldi is offering a discounted price on sunflower kernels this season, reducing the price from $3.39 to $2.79.

Park Street Deli: Pulled Pork/Pulled Chicken

With reduced prices for the pulled pork and pulled chicken options from Park Street Deli, you’ll be able to satisfy the palate of most picnic guests without breaking your budget. Perfect for sandwiches or served on its own with a side of vegetables, you can now get a pack for $6.99 — down from $7.49.

Specially Selected Macarons

As sweet as they are beautiful, the adorable little cookies make any picnic or dessert platter at a party complete. Wanting to make your fun times even brighter, Aldi is offering these treats at a discounted price this summer, going from $4.59 to $4.19.

Choosing Aldi as Your Summer Shopping Hub

Keep in mind that all of the six best items to buy at Aldi this summer are seasonal, which means that quantities will be limited and you might not be able to find some of them at your local Aldi store. However, you will definitely find other seasonal items you might be interested in that are also of good quality and great value.
