Ultra Clean HE Liquid Laundry Detergent
Liquid laundry detergent isn’t cheap, but it’s not exactly a product you can do without. If you have a front-loading dryer, you’ll want to use high efficiency laundry soap to ensure your clothes don’t end up with soap residue. Target charges $19.99 for 132 oz. of Tide High Efficiency Liquid Laundry Detergent, enough for 100 loads of laundry.
Kirkland Signature Ultra Clean High Efficiency Liquid Laundry detergent offers nearly 50% more product for the same price. You’ll get 194 fl. oz., enough for 146 loads, for $19.99 at Costco. You can also choose KS hypo-allergenic “Ultra Clean Free & Clear” HE detergent for the same price and size.
Kitchen Trash Bags
Most kitchen trash bags today provide similar quality, whether you choose Glad, Target’s “up & up” brand, or Kirkland Signature from Costco. Look for extra strong bags with flex or stretch technology to hold more, and drawstring ties that make them easy to carry.
Costco sells 200 13-gallon KS bags with Flex-Tech and handles for just $20, or 10 cents per bag. The up & up brand goes for $15.79 for 100 bags, or 16 cents a bag. Meanwhile, similar Glad bags with ForceFlex technology go for $21.99, or almost 22 cents a bag at Target.
