Where is the one place where you can pick up food, clothes and everything else you need to have a great time this summer? The answer, of course, is Costco. The giant retailer is jam packed with everything you need to have fun in the sun or shade while you enjoy the warmer months.
If you and your family happen to find yourselves on a budget, you don’t need to worry. Costco has great gear that’s durable, rugged and comes at a great price — $200 or less.
PreGra Platinum Artificial Turf
- Price: $59.99
You want to spend the summer days enjoying your lawn, not mowing it. Plus, all that water usage is not great for the planet. Why not switch to artificial turf from PreGra, which you can pick up at Costco?
“Costco is a great place to buy artificial turf for your lawn,” said Jeremy Yamaguchi, CEO of Lawn Love. “What I like about it is that it’s a lot more realistic-looking than many other kinds you can buy at other stores. And, it’s priced really well. More and more people are opting for artificial turf these days, because they require no water or maintenance.”
This artificial turf is 15 feet wide and sold by linear foot.
DynaTrap LED Mosquito and Insect Trap
- Price: $69.99
If you are planning to spend a lot of time outside, you will have company: bugs. Thankfully, Costco is ready to protect you from mosquitos and other nasty insects with the DynaTrap ½ Acre LED Mosquito and Insect Trap, complete with cleaning brush and hanging hook.
“Costco has a few different outdoor items specifically geared toward eliminating or reducing mosquitoes and other pests, and therefore increasing your enjoyment of your outdoor spaces,” said Brett Bennett, director of operations at PURCOR Pest Solutions, who personally loves the DynaTrap LED mosquito trap.
“These work great for all types of bugs that are attracted to light and can help divert them from other sources of light while you’re entertaining outside,” Bennett explained. “There’s no zapping, no smell and, in my experience, almost no sound at all, and they’re decorative enough to be used while you have guests.”
Duro 304 Stainless Steel Charcoal Tabletop Grill
- Price: $94.99
Summer is naturally the season of the grill, but why limit yourself to your backyard? Take the cookout on the go to parks, campsites and parties with the Duro 304 Stainless Steel Charcoal Tabletop Grill, which comes with its own carrying bag. Along with a 145.7-square-inch grilling area, the Duro 304 is equipped with a stainless steel cooking grate, grate handle, body and internal components.
A five-star review from a user named “John” said that the Duro 304 is a “great grill for RV camping. Absolutely my favorite grill to use for our camper. Easy clean up and easy to store.”
CORE 6-Person Lighted Dome Tent
- Price: $109.99
Looking to get outside and explore the great outdoors? Now you have ample shelter to do so the next time you go camping, with the CORE 6-person Lighted Dome Tent. At 10 feet by 9 feet, it’s able to sleep six campers or fit two queen mattresses. And if the spooky stories around the campfire get a little too creepy, the CORE comes equipped with built-in LED lighting.
“From my experience organizing group trips, Costco has quality, budget-friendly gear perfect for camping,” reported Will Mitchell, who noted that Costco frequently has deals on sleeping bags, flashlights, air mattresses and camp chairs to make your site a home away from home.
Tommy Bahama Rolling Party Cooler
- Price: $199.97
Mr. Bahama, or “Tommy” to his friends and loyal customers, has more to offer than just floral shirts. Get ready to keep all your drinks ice cold in the Tommy Bahama Rolling Party Cooler.
Rafi Friedman, president of Coastal Luxury Outdoors, raved that the Tommy Bahama rolling cooler “is a great way to add a touch of class to your outdoor drink service. It’s just the right height to set up next to the grill or buffet table at your next party, and it’s got enough insulation to keep things cold all day.”
