When it comes to stocking up for winter, nobody does it quite like Sam’s Club superfan Jordan P. This big-box store shopper has been a loyal member for years, and she’s got the inside scoop on the best deals for the colder months ahead.
“I live for my Sam’s Club runs,” Jordan told GOBankingRates. “It’s like a treasure hunt every time I go, especially when winter rolls around. There’s just something magical about finding major deals on things you know you’re gonna need soon.”
Here are this Sam’s Club superfan’s top buys for winter.
Lee Workwear Men’s 2-Pack Beanie
First on Jordan’s list is a winter essential that’s perfect for, well, pretty much everyone in her life. “These beanies are a no-brainer,” Jordan raved. “At just $9.98 for a two-pack, they’re an absolute steal. I grab a few packs every year for stocking stuffers and always keep a couple on hand for impromptu gifts.”
The Lee Workwear Men’s 2-Pack Beanie comes in various color combinations, including Jet Black/Vibrant Orange and Jet Black/Charcoal Heather. Made from 100% acrylic, these beanies are soft, warm, and (bonus!) machine washable.
“What I love most is the versatility,” Jordan added. “The fold-up cuff means you can adjust it for different levels of warmth. And let’s be honest, at this price, you won’t be heartbroken if you lose one at the ski lodge!”
Skechers Women’s On-The-Go Joy Boot
Jordan’s favorite footwear find at Sam’s Club is perfect for the winter season. “These boots honestly rule” she shared. “They’re like walking in the softest slippers, but are still warm enough (and professional-looking enough!) to wear into the outside world.”
Priced at $34.86, the Skechers Women’s On-The-Go Joy Boot features a split shaft design with faux fur trim, making them easy to slip on and off. The innovative 5GEN midsole cushioning and Air-Cooled Goga Mat insole provide comfort for all-day wear.
“I bought these last year and practically lived in them all winter,” Jordan shared. “They’re not waterproof, but for dry, cold days, they’re perfect. Plus, the taupe color goes with legit everything!”
Snow Joe Premium Enviro-Blend Ice Melt with CMA, 25 lb. Bag
Moving on to practical winter necessities, Jordan swears by this environmentally friendly ice melt. “Living in an area that gets icy, this stuff is worth its weight in gold,” she said. “And at $9.27 for a 25 lb. bag, it’s a bargain compared to what you’d pay at a hardware store.”
The Snow Joe Premium Enviro-Blend Ice Melt is effective down to -10°F and contains calcium magnesium acetate (CMA), making it safer for vegetation, concrete, and metals than traditional rock salt.
“What I really appreciate is that it doesn’t track into the house or leave a slimy residue,” Jordan noted. “And the green-coated crystals make it easy to see where you’ve already spread it. It’s the little things!”
Snow Joe 2-in-1 Telescoping Snow Broom + Ice Scraper, 18″ Foam Head
Another winter essential in Jordan’s cart is this versatile snow removal tool. “This is one of those items you don’t think you need until you have it, and then you wonder how you ever lived without it,” Jordan said.
Priced at $15.98, this 2-in-1 tool features an 18″ foam head for pushing snow off vehicles without scratching the paint, and a built-in ice scraper for tough ice build-up.
Jordan’s not alone in her love for this product. One satisfied customer shared, “This thing works great, thought it was going to be cheesy at first because of the styrofoam.”
Member’s Mark Flameless LED Wax Candles, 7 pc.
For creating a cozy ambiance during those long winter nights, Jordan turns to these flameless candles.
“These are a must-have for me every winter,” she said. “They create such a warm, inviting atmosphere without any fire risk. My kids are handsy, so I can ‘light’ as many of these as I want and I don’t have to worry.”
At $19.98 for a set of seven, these candles come with a remote control and feature a timer function. They’re made of real paraffin wax for an authentic look and feel.
“The remote control is so fun,” Jordan added. “I can turn them all on or off from the comfort of my couch. And the timer function means I never have to worry about forgetting to turn them off.”
Customers seem to agree with Jordan’s assessment. One review stated, “Love them for the price. The remote works by just pointing it at the candle you want to turn on. You don’t have to turn them all off or all on at the same time but you can.”
Member’s Mark Medium Roast Winter Coffee Pods, Variety Pack, 60 ct.
Last but certainly not least, Jordan’s favorite way to warm up from the inside out.
“This coffee variety pack is my secret weapon against winter blues,” she shared. “Four delicious flavors that make getting out of bed on a cold morning actually enjoyable! Well, not enjoyable, but tolerable!”
Priced at $14.98 for 60 pods, this pack includes Salted Caramel Bourbon, Maple Pecan, Cinnamon Roast Almond, and Butter Toffee flavors. All are made with 100% Arabica coffee and are Fair Trade Certified.
“The Maple Pecan is my absolute favorite,” Jordan said. “It’s like having a cozy breakfast in a cup.” And at just 25 cents per pod, it’s way cheaper than hitting up a coffee shop every day.
