This year, summer not only means warmer days and barbecues, but also means “Hello Summer Saturdays” at Target. The retailer just wrapped up its “Hello Summer” sale that ran from May 18 to 26 to celebrate Memorial Day and the unofficial start of summer and is now celebrating its “Hello Summer Saturdays” events.
Each Saturday in June, Target is celebrating summer with thousands of new items ranging in price from $1 to $20. Products are set to include swimwear, snacks, home items and outdoor entertainment and are intended to help everyone celebrate summer in style without taking a chunk out of their budgets.
Here are three items that the middle class should buy during the Hello Summer Saturdays events throughout June.

Outdoor Entertainment
During the May 18-26 sale at Target, Sun Squad outdoor toys, pools, floats and water toys were marked up to 50% off, which is a good indicator that these items may also be highly discounted during Target’s Hello Summer Saturdays events.
You can stock up on toys to take to the pool and water safety items like floats, and you can even buy your own pool to bring summer fun to your backyard.
Summer Fashion and Swimwear
Swimwear can get expensive, especially if you’re buying for the whole family. During the May sale, swimwear was 30% off, so throughout the Hello Summer Saturdays events, keep your eyes open for discounted swimwear so you can save money. The summer events will also feature summer fashions that capture the vibrant colors and patterns of summertime, including the recently relaunched Shade & Shore swim and beachwear assortment.
Target also has red, white and blue items that feature stripes, stars and gingham to get everyone geared up for Fourth of July celebrations. The company even offers a selection of $5 tees and flip flops.
Food and Drinks
Whether you’re preparing for the Fourth of July or just stocking up for summertime barbecues, The Boardwalk Shop will feature seasonal treats that include red, white and blue-themed treats and build-your-own s’mores kits.
There will also be a focus on trending grilling items, from barbecue sauce to s’mores campfire cones kits.
Editor’s note: Pricing and availability may vary depending on location.
