2025 Hyundai Sonata
- Starting MSRP: $26,800
The Hyundai Sonata is an affordable sedan that offers comfort and many safety features. For one, it’s great on mileage — up to 25 miles per gallon (MPG) when city driving, and up to 36 MPG on the highway. You can customize features like wireless device charging, a touchscreen display and even leather seats. You can even choose a hybrid version if you want to save on gas.
2025 Toyota Camry
- Starting MSRP: $28,700
The Toyota Camry has consistently been listed as one of the best cars (and not just for seniors) for a while now. Aside from the affordable price tag, you’ll get some decent features like a user-friendly infotainment system, lane-keeping assist and cruise control. It’s also a comfortable ride, which is good for those who intend to drive long distances fairly often.
2025 Honda HR-V
- Starting MSRP: $25,400
A small but mighty crossover, the Honda HR-V offers 158 horsepower and a 4 cylinder engine. Safety features also include sensors to help you tackle weather and other tough driving situations, as well as ones you’ll find with other cars like blind spot assist. In addition, you get front-rear park assist, a 9-inch infotainment system, LED headlights and tail lights, as well as other types of warnings and controls.

2025 Chevrolet Trax
- Starting MSRP: $20,400
This compact SUV is the most inexpensive model in Chevy’s lineup, and with good fuel economy — 28 MPG in the city, 32 MPG on the highway and 30 MPG combined. However, the Chevy Trax doesn’t have all-wheel drive, which may not be a dealbreaker unless you want that feature for winter driving. The car’s safety features include lane keep assist, following distance indicator and forward collision alert.
