Five Below offers a wide range of products at low prices, but superfans agree that not every item is actually worth the money when you take quality into account. On the other hand, several standout items offer much higher quality than you would expect based on the prices.
GOBankingRates scoured the Five Below Reddit community to find the items superfans recommend most. Here are the best quality items available at the discount store.
T-Shirts
Five Below sells a wide variety of graphic T-shirts for just $5.55. Several superfans commented that these T-shirts are some of the highest-quality items you can buy at the discount chain.
Brand-Name Toys
One superfan called out the Sanrio toys as being some of the best quality items available at Five Below. The retailer sells Sanrio-branded plush toys for $5 and Squishmallows for $5.95.
Another superfan recommended the Calico Critters toys, which sell for $5 to $15 at Five Below.
“Calico Critters are very high-quality Japanese dolls that tend to be very expensive normally,” said user Zantra3000. “To get an entire playset for $15 or $20, and to get a family for $10 is a really great deal compared to normal prices. Families can normally be $35, and the houses can be $100+.”
Earbuds
You can find wireless earbuds for just $8 at Five Below, and one superfan said they are better than Apple’s version.
“They’re way better sound quality than my AirPods, and louder,” said user ChipperBunni.
Charging Cables
While some of Five Below’s tech offerings lack in quality, user Chiaotzu21 recommended the store’s affordable charging cables. Prices for USB charging cables start at just $5.55.
Wireless Keyboards
User Chiaotzu21 is also a fan of the retailer’s wireless keyboards.
“I have a $10 Bytech wireless keyboard that works exceptionally well,” they wrote. “No lag and same AAA batteries since [I] got it months ago. Some of the stuff is worth the price.”
