The Home Depot is the world’s largest home improvement chain. Currently, 2,347 of the familiar orange big-box retailers are scattered across Canada, the United States and Mexico, combining to employ more than 470,000 workers. Despite its vast reach, the company clearly does not believe it has saturated the market. It has opened more than 20 of those locations since 2023 alone — and more are coming soon.

The Home Depot recently announced the imminent launch of 11 new stores, all of which will be located in the United States, joining the more than 2,000 U.S. locations that comprise the lion’s share of the corporation’s existing brick-and-mortar footprint. They’ll bring thousands of combined jobs to the communities they’re joining or, for those not looking for work, a nearby superstore that’s a one-stop shop for everything from azaleas to doorbells.
