Each state’s best banks were determined by analyzing institutions with at least five branches. Additional factors considered included total assets, Bauer ratings, product rates, fees and mobile app ratings.

Methodology: To determine the best banks by state, GOBankingRates analyzed institutions with at least five branches, factoring in total assets, Bauer ratings, product rates, fees, mobile app ratings and more. Banks were ranked based on a weighted scoring system to identify the top three in each state. All products and offerings had to be available as of Nov. 8, 2024, to be considered.
