It’s no secret Sam’s Club offers some great money-saving deals, but it’s worth it to check out what Costco has to offer in comparison to see how much you can save. It’s a strategy that can be especially helpful if you’re trying to decide which membership to sign up for.
Before you shop, check out these prices on grocery, personal care and health items from both Costco and Sam’s Club to see which warehouse club offers the most savings.
Sam’s Club: Kraft Original Macaroni and Cheese Dinner
- Price: $14.96
Shelf-stable macaroni and cheese is a product that can be stored in your pantry and whipped up as a quick side dish or an entree when needed. A 18-count pack of 7.25-ounce boxes of Kraft Original Macaroni and Cheese Dinner is $18.99 or $1.06 per box at Costco.Â
Sam’s Club’s price for the same-size and quantity of Kraft Original Macaroni and Cheese Dinner is approximately $4 lower at $14.96 or 83 cents per box.
Costco: Colgate Total Advanced Whitening Toothpaste
- Price: $12.99
Toothpaste has a shelf-life of about two years before it’s ingredients start to degrade, so if you’ll use up a half-dozen tubes before then, Costco has a six-count pack of Colgate Total Advanced Whitening Toothpaste (6.4-ounce tubes) for $12.99 right now at Costco — $6 less than its regular online price.Â
To compare, Sam’s Club sells a five-count pack of Colgate Total Whitening Toothpaste, which has a little less whitening power than the advanced formula. However, not only are there less tubes, but also the tubes are smaller at 6 ounces each — and the price is higher than Costco’s sale or regular price at $15.98.
Sam’s Club: Vicks VapoShower Max Vapors Shower Tablets
- Price: $14.98
Stuffy noses run rampant in the winter and non-medicated soothing eucalyptus shower steamer tablets can offer some relief. An eight-count pack of Vicks VapoShower Max Vapors Shower Tablets at Costco is on sale for $15.99 in February, making each tablet $1.99.Â
However, shop this item at Sam’s Club and you’ll pay $14.98 for eight Vicks VapoShower Max Vapors Shower Tablets — $1.87 for each one — which is 12 cents cheaper than Costco’s per-unit price.
Sam’s Club: Nature’s Bounty Hair, Skin and Nails
- Price: $14.94
A hair, skin and nails supplement provides key nutrients and is designed to take daily. Costco sells Nature’s Bounty Hair, Skin and Nails Softgels in a 250-count bottle for $19.99 — or about 8 cents per capsule.Â
While not the same formula and in gummy form, Sam’s Club offers a 230-count bottle of Nature’s Bounty Hair, Skin and Nails Gummies for $14.94, which equals about 6 cents per gummy.Â
