- Ally Financial announced a new set of commission-free ETFs.
- The offering is a collaboration between Ally Invest and WisdomTree.

Ally Invest, Ally Bank’s brokerage and wealth management division, announced on Aug. 27, 2018, that its customers can access a unique set of over 100 commission-free exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that are now available on its online trading platform. This access is designed to enable them to further diversify their portfolios and save money on strategic ETF investing.

“ETFs are investment funds traded on stock exchanges, much like stocks, that appeal to all types of investors — from passive investors who want to diversify their portfolios to more active investors who are looking to use sector or specialty funds to gain more exposure to a particular segment of the market,” said David Dusseault, executive director of Ally Invest, in a press release.
Ally Invest lets customers access all WisdomTree Investments, Inc., ETFs with no commission fee, which means they’re saving money as they invest. WisdomTree, known for fundamentally weighted ETFs and active ETFs, offers the following ETF types:
- Domestic, international and global equities
- Fixed income
- Alternative strategies
“Ally and WisdomTree share a similar philosophy of using innovation to deliver the very best value for investors,” said Kurt MacAlpine, WisdomTree executive vice president, in the same press release. “Particularly in today’s investing climate, we believe investors shouldn’t have to choose between cost efficiency and performance potential.”
Ally also offers access to more than 30 iShares ETFs from BlackRock to help investors diversify further. These encompass socially responsible funds that include companies engaged in:
- Social justice
- Environmental sustainability
- Alternative energy and clean technology
