Depending on where you live, it’s possible you might be paying more money to purchase a used car.
A recent analysis by vehicle issue platform AutoTechIQ examined over 68,000 used and certified pre-owned car listings from Cars.com — excluding exotic cars priced over $150,000 — and grouped listings by state to calculate the average price of a used vehicle in each one. The average price varied greatly from state to state, with the average used car price in the most expensive state — Alaska — topping $35,000, while the average used car price in the most affordable state falls below $25,000.
Ranked from highest to lowest price, here are the 10 states with the best used car prices.
