Warehouse stores like Sam’s Club can be a great place to shop if you’re on a middle-class budget. They offer shoppers everything from clothing and household items to food. To help your money go even further, Sam’s Club even has its own brand, Member’s Mark. These items are often comparable to their name-brand counterpart but are significantly less expensive.

As you plan your next trip to the warehouse store and consider some of the larger or more frequent purchases you may have, here are seven Member’s Mark items to consider.

Paper Towels and Toilet Paper

Some people believe they must have Charmin toilet paper or Bounty paper towels. While these are undoubtedly durable and do the job, they also come with a high price tag.

Instead, consider using the Member’s Mark option for both. Not only are the Member’s Mark paper towels and toilet paper just as durable, but they also cost much less.

You can purchase a 12-pack of Bounty paper towels (120 sheets per roll) for $17.91 or a 15-pack of Member’s Mark paper towels (150 sheets per roll) for $19.98.

The savings are even greater when you purchase Member’s Mark toilet paper. You could buy 32 rolls of Charmin (231 sheets per roll) for $31.48. Or, you could buy 45 rolls of Member’s Mark toilet paper (235 sheets per roll) for $24.26.

Eggs

My family goes through a lot of eggs. Unfortunately, with the bird flu still an issue, eggs are expensive. I recently bought a dozen eggs at the grocery store for almost $4.

Sam’s Club sells two dozen Member’s Mark eggs for only $5.98. If you go through a lot of eggs, this can be a significant savings.

Allergy Medication

If you suffer from spring or fall allergies, you know how much over-the-counter medicine can cost. Luckily, Sam’s Club has its own Member’s Mark allergy medicine that can help you save a significant amount of money.

You could purchase a 120-count package of Zyrtec allergy pills for $39.98, or $0.33 per pill, or a 400-count of Member’s Mark allergy pills for $12.23, or $0.03 per pill.

Both options have the same active ingredients and effectiveness, but Member’s Mark pills are much cheaper.

Trash Bags

Like paper towels and toilet paper, you can save significant money while maintaining quality by opting for Member’s Mark trash bags instead of a name brand.

You could pick up a 160-count box of Glad ForceFlex trash bags for $16.98, or a 200-count box of Member’s Mark Power Flex trash bags also for $16.98.

Coffee

If you’re a coffee drinker, shopping at Sam’s Club can be a money saver, especially when you buy Member’s Mark K-Cups.

For example, you could pick up a 100-count box of Donut Shop coffee for $32.98. Compare this with a 72-pack of Starbucks Pike Place coffee costing $44.98.

Chicken Broth

If you use a lot of chicken broth in recipes, purchasing it from Sam’s Club can be a big money saver. For $7.98, you can purchase a six-count box of 32-ounce Member’s Mark Chicken Broth. My local grocery store sells this size container for roughly $2.
