When it comes to shopping for your summer needs, Walmart is a clear winner. In GOBankingRates’ recent Summer of Savings survey, 37% of Americans reported that Walmart was their go-to destination, more than any other. (Only 4.6% of respondents will be doing their summer shopping at Aldi, in contrast.)

It’s no wonder, given how well Walmart keeps its prices low every day. These savings are augmented with a variety of special summer deals.

There are few things more refreshing than ice-cold, fresh watermelon on a hot summer’s day. However, watermelon is often fairly pricey. Walmart has you covered, almost halving the cost of watermelon from $8.98 per melon to just $4.68, a savings of $4.30 per melon!

Expert Grill Three-Burner Propane Gas Grill

What summer is complete without a grill for outdoor cooking? Summer heat makes indoor cooking a sweaty and thankless task.

When outdoor grilling, whether for the family or for entertainment, it’s nice to have a variety of cold beverages to choose from. Walmart has a 24 pack of 12-ounce cans of Dr Pepper — “the oldest soda in the country” — on a really good deal right now, just $12.38.
