How Rich Is Elizabeth Olsen?
Elizabeth Olsen may not have captured the spotlight at an early age like her older sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley (aka the Olsen Twins), but is now the shining star. She’s been acting and performing since childhood — again, just like her sisters — but her role as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2015’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” has led to a fruitful movie career ever since.
Thanks to her Avengers paychecks, as well as her other creative endeavors, she has amassed a sizable fortune. In addition to her debut in AoU, Olsen appeared as the same character in “Captain America: Civil War,” “Avengers: Infinity War,” and “Avengers: Endgame.” These movies had worldwide earnings of $1.15 billion, $2 billion, and close to $2.8 billion, respectively, according to BoxOfficeMojo.com.
Earlier this year, Olsen reprised the role of her MCU character in the Disney mini-series “WandaVision,” named for the Scarlet Witch and her android husband Vision — or at least a being very similar to him.
As a child actress, Olsen appeared with her sisters in “The Adventures of Mary-Kate and Ashley” and “How the West Was Fun.” But it wasn’t until 2011 that she made a name for herself in the film “Martha Marcy May Marlene,” according to IMDB, for which she received critical acclaim and won multiple awards. Her next film “Silent House” was not as well-received, although her performance was once again praised. This led to roles in several independent films and a steady acting career ever since.
Recent Successes and Net Worth
While her role in the MCU catapulted her to stardom and continues to largely contribute to her $11 million net worth, according to CelebrityNetWorth.com, she’s kept busy bolstering her career with other projects, too. In 2015, she starred as Hank Williams’ wife in the biopic “Saw the Light,” and two years later, starred in the neo-Western “Wild River,” which earned $45 million at the box office.
As Disney+ continues to create shows in the MCU centered around the “multiverse” concept, it wouldn’t be strange to find Olsen as the Scarlet Witch making magic on the streaming service again. After all, she’s set to costar in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” alongside actor Benedict Cumberbatch in 2022.
