Typically, most Sam’s Club appliances have pretty solid reviews. Take a closer look, however, and you’ll discover not all appliances are beloved by Sam’s Club members. Those with poor ratings tend to have certain issues in common, like parts that break off easily or the product struggling to properly work. Dissatisfied shoppers may even advise those looking to buy these appliances not to waste their money.
From ice cream makers to refrigerators, let’s look at six Sam’s Club appliances you may want to skip shopping.
Cuisinart Soft Serve Ice Cream Maker
- Price: $99.98
The Cuisinart soft serve ice cream maker may sound like a cool appliance to buy, especially for shoppers who want to save money and make their sweet treats at home.
Complaints from Sam’s Club shoppers, however, revealed that the ice cream maker struggled to properly make and freeze its ice cream. One customer, Lauren, wrote that they tried twice to make ice cream using the machine, but it would not freeze in both attempts.
De’Longhi All-In-One Pump Espresso & 10-Cup Drip Coffee Machine
- Price: $199.87
At nearly $200, shoppers who buy the De’Longhi espresso and drip coffee machine expect the appliance to work properly and brew delicious coffee.
This doesn’t seem to be the experience all Sam’s Club customers have had though. Several one-star reviews expressed frustration with the machine. Among the top complaints were that it leaked and broke down relatively quickly after purchase.
Dash Portable USB Blender
- Price: $24.98
Over 50 reviewers gave the Dash portable USB blender one-star ratings on the Sam’s Club website.
Complaints ranged from the blender’s blades being too small to the motor not working. Several shoppers cited experiencing issues with the charger as well.
LG Slide-In Electric Range
- Price: $1,095
Despite being currently on sale with $550 off the regular listed price of $1,645, several shoppers logged complaints about the LG slide-in electric range on the Sam’s Club website.
“I got the oven and LG fridge at the same time back in April 2024. I love the fridge.. I hate this oven. The controls are downright dangerous,” wrote Nancy215 in a one-star review.
LG Top Load Washer With Agitator
- Price: $495
The LG top load washer has logged 42 one-star reviews on the Sam’s Club website. While some complaints were specific to several parts breaking, many customers said the slowness of the machine was an ongoing problem.
“If you enjoy spending literally hours trying to wash one load of laundry, this is perfect for you. It constantly stops and has error messages because items will shift in the tub or it won’t drain correctly. If you put it on a ‘spin only’ cycle to try and get some of the water out of the items it will, inexplicably, fill the tub again. Completely pointless having a large capacity washer when I can’t wash more than one or two days worth of clothes at once,” Sarah787 wrote.
LG Bottom Freezer Refrigerator
- Price: $1,295
While there are only a few negative reviews published about the LG bottom freezer refrigerator on the Sam’s Club website, there appears to be a common denominator among reviewers.
Several negatively commented on the freezer. Complaints ranged from the freezer not working after a certain amount of time to having no light, which makes it hard to see the food stored inside.
Prices and availability are accurate as of Oct. 4, 2024, and are subject to change.
