With Thanksgiving right around the corner, it won’t be long until you start making your New Year’s Eve plans. If you’re going to be hosting the celebration this year, you’ll want to make sure your guests are well-fed and have a boozy (or non-alcoholic) cocktail in hand, without busting your budget. 

If you’re a Costco member, this is one of the best and most cost-efficient places to pick up everything you’ll need for a successful New Year‘s Eve party. Here are seven of the best Costco grocery deals to add to your shopping cart.

Fruit and Cheese Tray

If you want something extremely easy to include in your New Year‘s Eve spread, consider a fruit and cheese tray. While you could put something together on your own, the better way to do it would be with a Costco prepackaged fruit and cheese tray for $4.99 per pound.

These trays are located in the deli section and include red and green grapes, strawberries and gouda and cheddar cheese cubes.

Puff Pastry Bites

Another quick party appetizer from Costco is for Cuisine Adventures Puff Pastry Bites. This 48-count box includes the following four flavors:

• Roasted red pepper and cheddar
• Spinach and Parmasean 
• Artichoke, monterey jack and jalapeno
• Caramelized onion and ricotta

These boxes, that go for $11.99 each, are perfect for vegetarians and have no artificial flavors or colors.

Junior’s Mini Cheesecakes

No New Year‘s Eve party is complete without a sweet treat or two. That being said, consider adding some Junior’s mini cheesecakes to the menu. Costco sells boxes of 24 for just $19.59. Each box contains original, chocolate swirl and strawberry swirl flavors. 

Lobster Sliders

If you want to include more than just appetizers, then consider lobster sliders from East Coast Seafood. These are going to increase the budget a little since a six count costs $39.99, but these would make a great addition for lobster lovers.

Each box includes six brioche slider rolls, lobster meat and lobster butter. All you’ll need to do is warm and assemble.  

Ghirardelli Brownie Mix

If you and your guests are chocolate lovers, a box of Ghirardelli brownie mix is a must for your shopping cart. This is probably one of my favorite brownie mixes and it’s even better when you add either pecans or walnuts. Costco sells six-count packages for $16.99. 

Kirkland Alcohol

If you’re planning on mixing up drinks at your New Years Eve party, then you’ll want to stock up on alcohol from Costco. Historically, the prices have always been much lower than at a liquor store and the Kirkland brand has high ratings with consumers. 

You can pick up a 1.75-liter bottle of Kirkland spiced rum for just $16.99 or a bottle of Kirkland vodka for $21.69. If wine is more your speed, then they have a 2021 Kirkland Malbec for $6.99.

Pizza

You can never go wrong when you have pizzas at a party. This year, you can pick up a couple of 18-inch pizzas for just $9.95 each. These can be picked up at the food court fully cooked or take and bakes are located in the deli area. Choose from either cheese or pepperoni.
