While it may seem like the price of everything is going up — and due to inflation, this is true for the most part — Costco has actually been lowering the prices on some of its store-brand items.
“Kirkland Signature offers significant member value compared to the national brands and continues to grow at a faster pace than our business as a whole,” Gary Millerchip, EVP and CFO at Costco, said on the retailer’s Q4 earnings call. “Our goal is always to be the first to lower prices where we see the opportunities to do so.”
During the earnings call, Millerchip shared a few of the Kirkland-brand products that have gotten cheaper over the last quarter. See which items have gotten less expensive and how much the prices of these items have dropped.
