Dollar Tree is home to some of the best deals on seasonal items. From summer essentials for outdoor parties to grilling accessories to home decor, you can get a lot for about $1.25 each.
Here’s a list of some of the best seasonal items this June and why they’re worth the money.
Pink Plastic Flamingos
- Price: $1.25 each (48 for $60.00 online)
Nothing quite says summer like beach-themed outdoor decor. Pick up a few 13.5-inch pink plastic flamingos from Dollar Tree and add them strategically throughout your front or backyard to get that summertime feeling. They’re inexpensive, silly and bright — just what you need for a tropical-themed luau party or get-together.
H2O Blasters
- Price: $1.25 each (24 for $30.00 online)
School’s out — or almost out — for the summer and that means the kids are home. Keep them entertained with these double-barreled water squirters from Dollar Tree. They’re multi-colored, so get some neighborhood kids together, set them up into teams and make an afternoon of watching them play in the yard.”
Kids love water guns and sprayers. The water squirters that Dollar Tree carries are so much less expensive than what you can find elsewhere,” said Melanie Musson, budgeting expert at Clearsurance.
“They tend to get clogged with sand and gravel if you’re using them at the lake or beach,” she said, “but they’re cheap enough that you can buy a few as backup replacements.”
Patriotic Light Up Tumblers With Straws
- Price: $1.25 each (24 for $30.00 online)
The Fourth of July is about a month away, so now’s a good time to grab a few holiday-themed goods if you celebrate it. One popular Dollar Tree item is this 18-ounce patriotic tumbler. It can hold up to 18 ounces and comes with a straw and lid. It also has a battery that makes it light up.
“The patriotic tumblers are a screaming deal,” Musson said. “At only $1.25, you can instantly add some flare to your summer. Whether you deck your family out in the tumblers for a community gathering or just sip your iced tea while you sunbathe, they’re just fun to use.”
Woodshop DIY Wood Craft Kits
- Price: $1.25 each (24 for $30.00 online)
Another way to keep your kids entertained, while spending some quality time with the family, is by having an arts and crafts project or two. If your family loves birds, pick up Woodshop’s DIY wood craft kits from Dollar Tree this June.
You have two options — a small birdhouse and a matching bird feeder. Put them together as a family, paint or decorate the wood, set them up outside and wait for the critters to come.
Assorted Solar Lanterns
- Price: $5.00 each (8 for $40.00 online)
Some things at Dollar Tree cost more than $1.25, but even at $5 apiece, these solar-powered lanterns are a good deal. They have an LED artificial candle inside and offer a pleasant glow for any summer evening. Get a few and arrange them around your patio, deck, garden or mailbox for some subtle illumination.
Printed Grilling Towels
- Price: $1.25 each (only available in-store)
If you plan to grill this summer, don’t spend your money at more expensive stores. Instead, check out Dollar Tree. The discount retailer has a few grilling accessories this summer, including these Home Collection’s printed polyester grilling towels.
These rugged towels are surprisingly durable and work just as well for cleaning up grill-related messes as more expensive options. Plus, they’re themed. One has the phrase “chillin’ & grillin'” on it, while the other says, “Summertime Cocktails & Backyard Barbeque.”
Cooking Concepts Condiment Bottles
- Price: $1.25 each (24 for $30.00 online)
With grilling on the mind, pick up these Cooking Concepts’ clear condiment bottles to store your condiments. They come in packs of two and are perfect for storing homemade barbecue sauces, ketchup, mayonnaise and the like. Plus, they’re see-through, so you won’t have to guess how much is left.
Beach Pails with Shovels
- Price: $1.25 each (36 for $45 online)
“If you have kids and you’re planning to go to a sandy beach, you’re going to want to pick up some sand toys,” Musson said. “They’re the perfect inexpensive way to keep kids entertained for hours.”
Dollar Tree sells plastic beach pails with shovels for $1.25 each. They might not last as long as other toys, but they’ll do the trick if you need something last-minute for a fun beach trip.
