Those that celebrate Easter know just how important it is to find the best deals on everything from plastic eggs to centerpieces to save the most money and celebrate the holiday in style.
GOBankingRates carefully price matched Easter items for sale at Dollar Tree to find the top five items that are cheaper than if you shopped online for similar offerings sold at Walmart.
Here are the hidden, cheap gems to look out for at Dollar Tree.
Jute Carrot Easter Décor
- Price: $1.25
The best bang for your Jute carrot décor buck is available at Dollar Tree. The discount retailer carries a six-pack bag of decorative carrots for just $1.25, or about 21 cents each.Â
Online Walmart shoppers have the option to shop the Greenbrier International brand of Jute carrot decorations, but a six-pack of carrots will set you back $6.48 — and that’s the sale price, too. These carrots regularly retail for $7.97.
Easter Tapestry Runners
- Price: $5
While the Easter-themed tapestry runners for sale at Dollar Tree may seem expensive at $5 each, Walmart shoppers pay double the price.Â
A similar table runner offering from the Sm:)e brand retails for $9.99 online. And unlike Dollar Tree’s tapestry runners, there aren’t three assorted designs available to choose from.
Bunny with Bow Plush
- Price: $5
Looking to save a little money on the plush bunnies you’re adding into Easter baskets? Shop the bunny plushes with bows at Dollar Tree.Â
Each retails for $5 and is available in blue, pink or brown with a cheery bow tied on. Similar stuffed bunnies for sale from Walmart’s Way To Celebrate brand cost $9.97 each online.
Easter-Themed Ceramic Salt and Pepper Shakers
- Price: $1.25
Want to switch out your existing salt and pepper shakers for ones that are Easter appropriate? At Dollar Tree, you have your choice of eggs or bunny with a carrot salt and pepper shakers that cost $1.25 for the duo.Â
It’s a lot harder to find inexpensive Easter-themed salt and pepper shakers sold online at Walmart. The closest similar offering we found was Pacific Trading’s hugging Easter bunny and egg set for a pricey $13.99.
Colorful Easter Eggs (30 Count)
- Price: $1.25
While the 73 cents shoppers save buying plastic Easter eggs from Dollar Tree compared to Walmart’s Way To Celebrate brand may seem like not much, consider everything you’re getting for the price.Â
At Walmart, you’re getting 20 plastic eggs to Dollar Tree’s 30 eggs. If you have an extensive Easter egg hunt planned, this is a good time to stock up on the plastic eggs at Dollar Tree while they’re still available.
