Macy’s has experienced tremendous growth since it was founded in the mid-1800s by Rowland Hussey Macy as a single dry goods retailer in downtown Haverhill, Massachusetts. Today, there are 508 Macy’s stores in the U.S. But that’s not as many as there once were. The department store chain has closed roughly 300 stores since 2015, and more Macy’s are slated to shut their doors as the retailer struggles to compete against giants such as Amazon and Walmart.

Some dressy outfits call for an extra touch of elegance. The women’s MSK Faux-Fur Shrug, in white, could be the perfect cozy addition to a glamorous evening. It’s on sale at Macy’s for $20.29, down from $59.
