Who isn’t obsessed with Five Below? The popular discount store offers a wide range of $5 or less products. It’s incredibly easy to get lost in the aisles, adding everything to your cart. However, while the store is known for its downright cheap prices, not all of its products live up to customer expectations.

Let’s take a look at 10 of the Five Below items that have received the most customer complaints.

Binoculars

According to Chic on the Cheap, the binoculars sold at Five Below are “just terrible.” The popular YouTuber complained that you could barely see out of them once magnified, saying customers could get better quality binoculars elsewhere for a better price.

Galaxy Projector

Chic on the Cheap also didn’t love the Galaxy Projector from Five Below’s home decor section. Despite expecting to see a galaxy projection on the wall, she found it to be “very minimal” and a “total letdown.”

Electric Blackhead Extractor

The electric blackhead extractor by Essential Beauty, which claims to remove oil, dirt, and blackheads with vacuum suction, did not live up to Chic on the Cheap’s expectations. She shared that the vacuum suction was “almost not even there,” and she was forced to return it.

Batteries

Cheap batteries from Five Below with unfamiliar brands may not be a good bargain. Customers have complained that these batteries drain quickly, leaving them in the dark with dead flashlights.

Faux Fur Socks

Chic on the Cheap said the Cozy Cabin faux fur socks are a “dud” product. She noted that despite being labeled as size 9-11, they were too small and uncomfortable to walk in, even for her size 8.5-9 feet.

Dog Toys

Many shoppers caution against giving dog toys from Five Below to pets that can rip them apart or swallow small pieces, as the quality may not be as good as pet stores or retailers.

Warming Therapy Stuffed Animal

While Chic on the Cheap found the Warming Therapy Stuffed Animal cute, she questioned whether it was worth $5 for its intended purpose. She suggested that larger versions available at other stores with better reviews are probably better.

Eye Masks

Chic on the Cheap didn’t like the eye masks she tried from Five Below, finding them too thick and not seeing much difference in her under-eye area. She recommended getting eye masks from Amazon or places with reviews to make sure they deliver results.

Jewelry

Some customers say shoppers shouldn’t expect high-quality jewelry from Five Below. Complaints include issues with the jewelry not working properly or causing skin reactions due to the type of metal used.

Water Bottles

Customers should be wary of water bottles from Five Below, as they may be unsafe and could add chemicals to the water if left sitting for too long. Do your research to make sure the bottle you buy isn’t hazardous to your health.
