Well, 2020 hasn’t played by the rules, and retail “holidays” are no exception. Black Friday and Cyber Monday unofficially have merged into one mega-shopping event, and retailers such as Target began rolling out Black Friday sales in early November. While we’re still days away from  Thanksgiving and more than a month out from Christmas, the holiday deals and discounts are pouring in online. It can be rather overwhelming for the budget shopper who doesn’t have the time to scour the internet for the best deals every day. 

Earlier this month, GOBankingRates published the ultimate guide to Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The advice retail experts provided in that piece still holds true, but now we’re digging a little deeper and getting even more specific. We’ve asked shopping and savings insiders for the best Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals and where to find them (with all prices accurate as of November 23, 2020). From showerheads to sneakers and from jewelry to gaming laptops, here’s a look at plenty of deals along with where to find them, and why they’re worth your money and your time.

• Why It’s A Great Deal: “Adidas has a lot of sales, but never anything at [close to] 50% off for sneakers that are this in demand,” said Tiara Rea-Palmer, head of retail at CouponFollow. “You won’t find another deal like this on Adidas footwear until they have to clear inventory.”

• Why It’s a Great Deal: “You won’t find this price lower anywhere else, and it makes a great gift for the holidays,” Rea-Palmer said. “You may even be able to stack a coupon on top of this discount for extra savings.”

• Why It’s A Great Deal: “Everywhere else has it for over $450, including Walmart and Target,” Rea-Palmer said. “On Black Friday itself, check eBay’s Brand Outlet to ensure they didn’t launch something to undercut Amazon’s price, but otherwise, this is the best price of the year on this model Roomba.”

• Why It’s A Great Deal: “Gaming is huge right now and that trend will only continue as we stay inside during the colder weather and COVID-19 pandemic,” Marineau said. “So if you or a loved one are a gamer, they might as well do it in style with the laptop that claims it’s ‘finely calibrated to deliver devastation.’”

• Sale Price: Three months free – then $7.99 a month

• Why It’s A Great Deal: “Amazon typically offers three months for free to new subscribers, but it’s rare to see any deals for current Amazon Music Unlimited members,” said Michael Bonebright, consumer analyst with DealNews.com. “After the trial, it goes back to [retail price], but it’s very much worth getting this free upgrade now, even if you cancel later.”

• Sale Price: $189.99 now, $169 later
• Where to Buy: Woot
• Why It’s A Great Deal: “The AirPods Pro model is already on sale for $200 at Amazon, Target and Walmart,” Bonebright said. “This Black Friday price beats those deals, and it’s $21 cheaper than the best price we’ve ever seen for these earbuds.”

• Why It’s A Great Deal: “The Inspire 2, an upcoming pick in our guide to the best fitness tracker, is an affordable way to start tracking your activity,” said Nathan Burrow, deals editor at Wirecutter. “With an understated design — offering a slightly different silhouette than the Inspire 1 — this model has the capacity to be worn on your wrist or clipped to your waist.” The clip is sold separately.

• Why It’s A Great Deal: According to Burrow, this was “advertised for $20 off as part of Walmart’s Black Friday ad” and “the best price we’ve seen for the Xbox Wireless Controller since March. An added bonus is compatibility with the newly released Xbox consoles, so you know you’ll be getting something that will work with your existing Xbox and the new consoles, should you be able to get your hands on one.”

• Why It’s A Great Deal: “There are a few stipulations, but signing up for the AT&T Installment Plan with an eligible trade will land you the new iPhone 12 for $299.99,” said Regina Conway, consumer expert with Slickdeals.net.

• Sale Price: $300 or less
• Where To Buy: Best Buy, Walmart, Target and Amazon
• Why It’s A Great Deal: “The iPad is our top tablet pick,” Burrow said. “The new 8th generation iPad gets a more powerful A12 chip and retains Apple pencil support, making it a great tablet option for all but the most processing-needy pros.”

• Why This Is A Great Deal: “This is the lowest price ever on the Apple Watch Series 3 and the Watch itself is highly rated,” said Jon Vincent, co-founder of EarlyBlackFriday.com.

• Why This Is A Great Deal: “The Dyson V7 Animal Cordless Stick Vacuum is lightweight and offers up to 30 minutes of continuous suction,” Vincent said. “Dyson’s vacuums are highly rated as one of the best brand vacuum cleaners that you can buy, and this is the lowest price the vacuum has ever been offered for.”

• Why This Is A Great Deal: “Due to the pandemic and many people staying home, inflatable hot tub spas have been impossible to find and have been selling for over their normal retail price,” Vincent said. “Not only is Walmart offering this inflatable hot tub, but they are also discounting it. … Considering how tough these are to get, this is one of the best deals this Black Friday.”
