Your Chime routing number is easy to find — you just need to log in to the website or app and head to the “Move Money” section. From there, you can view both your routing and account numbers in seconds.

Because Chime doesn’t issue paper checks, you won’t find your routing number printed on a checkbook like you would with a traditional bank. Whether you need it for direct deposit, setting up bill pay or completing payroll forms, here’s how to locate your Chime routing number quickly and without confusion.

Your Chime Routing Number: The Key to Smooth Direct Deposit

Chime doesn’t issue its own routing number. Instead, you’ll use the routing number of the partner bank that provides banking services for your account. Chime works with:

  • The Bancorp Bank, N.A. — Routing number: 031101279
  • Stride Bank, N.A. — Routing number: 103100195

Not sure which one applies to you? You can find your partner bank by:

  • Logging in to your Chime account and checking the Direct Deposit section
  • Looking at the back of your Chime Visa® debit card, where the servicing bank is listed

Using the correct routing number ensures your direct deposit is processed without delays.

How To Find Your Chime Routing Number

Chime doesn’t issue physical checkbooks, so you won’t find your routing number on a paper check. Instead, you can access it digitally.

On The Chime Website:

  • Log in to your account
  • Click “Move Money”
  • View your account and routing numbers

On The Chime App:

  • Tap “Move Money”
  • Select “Move Your Direct Deposit”
  • View your routing and account numbers

To set up direct deposit, simply provide these numbers to your employer on their payroll form.

If you’re having trouble locating your routing number, contact Chime customer support at 844-244-6363. You can also open the Chime app and tap the question mark icon at the top of the screen to start a chat.

Chime Routing Number vs. Account Number: What’s the Difference?

Your Chime routing number is specific to the bank that partners with Chime to house your funds. This routing number corresponds with either The Bancorp Bank or Stride Bank.

On the other hand, your account number is specific to your account. So, while providing the routing number ensures that direct deposits go to the right bank, the account number is what gets the deposit to your individual account.

How To Use Your Chime Routing Number

You can use your Chime routing number to set up direct deposit with your employer. However, because Chime is a financial technology company and not a traditional bank, you generally can’t use the routing number for services like domestic or international wire transfers.

Setting up direct deposit is straightforward, though the exact steps may vary depending on your employer. In most cases, you’ll need your:

  • Account number
  • Routing number
  • Bank name (The Bancorp Bank, N.A. or Stride Bank, N.A., depending on your account)

Three Ways To Set Up Chime Direct Deposit

  • Submit Your Bank Details To Your Employer. Provide your routing and account numbers on your employer’s payroll or HR forms. Many companies allow you to enter this information online through an employee portal.
  • Use A Pre-Filled Direct Deposit Form. Chime can generate a completed direct deposit form for you. On the website, select “Print” or “Download.” In the app, tap “Get Completed Form.” Print or share the form with your employer.
  • Set Up Direct Deposit In The App. If your employer participates, you can search for them directly in the Chime app by selecting “Find Employer” and following the on-screen steps.

Choosing the method that matches your employer’s process can help avoid delays and ensure your paycheck arrives smoothly.

FAQ

  • Is Chime a bank?
    • Chime is a financial technology company, not a bank. The fintech works with partner banks to provide banking services.
  • What is the Chime bank name for direct deposits?
    • You should not use Chime as your bank name if you need to provide bank information for your direct deposit forms. You will need to check your account to see which of Chime's partners, The Bancorp or Stride, provides your banking services.
  • Do all Chime accounts have the same routing number?
    • Chime works with partner banks to provide its services. Since the fintech works with two different banks, it also uses two different routing numbers. The routing number you should use will vary based on your particular account.
  • How do I find my Chime routing number without a check?
    • Chime does not issue checkbooks. You can find your Chime routing number by logging into your account and looking at the direct deposit tab. If you're having trouble identifying your routing number, you can also call Chime customer service at 844-244-6363.
  • Can I use the same routing number for wire transfers?
    • Since Chime isn't a bank, you can't send or receive wire transfers from your account. However, you can set up direct deposits using your Chime routing and account numbers.
