2. Review the Terms and Conditions

The terms and conditions are located at the bottom of the online application form. When applying at a retail location, the terms and conditions will be given to you as part of the application.

The grace period is at least 25 days. You must pay your new balance by the due date in each billing cycle to avoid interest. For late payments, a fee of $27 to or $37 if you exceed one late payment within six billing cycles — will be added to your regular purchase balance.

3. Complete the Credit Card Application

You’ll need to provide the following identifying information to process your application for store cards from Sears or Kmart. Make sure all your information is accurate to increase your chances of a credit card approval.

  • Full legal name
  • Email address
  • Street address
  • Phone number
  • Monthly mortgage or rent payment, residency status and income
  • Social Security number
  • Date of birth

4. Wait for Approval

When you apply for the credit card, Citibank will order your credit report to determine whether you qualify for store credit cards like the Sears card. Your credit limit is determined by the income you provide and the amount of debt listed on your credit report. Account approval will depend on your credit score and other factors.
