Uber Credit Card

  • Fee: $0

The Uber credit card offers extra cash back on special categories, including 4 percent on restaurants, 3 percent on hotels and airline tickets, 2 percent for all online purchases and 1 percent on everything else. There’s no annual fee, and you’ll get a $50 credit for online subscription services when you spend at least $5,000 on the card per year or up to $600 to repair or replace your cell phone if you pay your mobile bill using the card. Plus, if you sign up now, this shopping credit card can earn you a $100 bonus when you spend $500 within 90 days.

Costco Anywhere Visa

  • Purchase APR: 16.24% APR
  • Fee: $0

Having a Costco Anywhere Visa won’t get you any extra discounts at Costco, but it will help you earn extra cash back: 4 percent on eligible gas, 3 percent on eating out and travel, 2 percent on Costco purchases in-store and online, and 1 percent cash back on everything else. For the first seven months after signing up for the Costco credit card, you’ll also be able to take advantage of no interest and there’s never an annual fee.

Nordstrom Credit Card

If you love shopping at Nordstrom, getting the annual fee-free Nordstrom card can give you the inside track to unlock the best deals Nordstrom has to offer. You’ll earn double points at Nordstrom and Nordstrom-affiliated stores, plus a $40 bonus when you spend $100 at Nordstrom on the day you’re approved for the card.

Target REDcard

Target REDcards could be a Target credit card, Target debit card or Target Mastercard. No matter which Target card you use, however, you’ll get 5 percent off most purchases, plus you’ll get free shipping on most online orders at Target’s website. But, there aren’t any sign-up bonuses or categories that you’ll receive extra rewards other than shopping at Target.

Though only the Gap is on the name, the Gap credit card covers all Gap brands, including Old Navy, Athleta and Banana Republic. You’ll earn five points per dollar spent at any Gap-brand store and one point for every dollar spent anywhere else. Every time you accumulate 500 points, you can redeem them for $5. Other perks include free basic alterations and shipping with a silver card, birthday savings and 10 percent off until the end of the year for Gap, Gap Outlet and Gap Factory purchases made in the store. J. Crew Card

The Macy’s credit card comes with three levels of rewards. The Silver level, which applies to all new cardholders, is for customers who spend $1 to $499 per year. Gold customers spend between $500 and $1199 annually, and Platinum classification requires purchases of $1,200 or more every year. Each tier comes with increased rewards, exclusives, savings and enhancements in customer service. For example, when you reach Platinum, you get 5 percent back on Macy’s purchases, but free shipping is available at the Gold level.

Best Buy doesn’t promise any special event access for Best Buy credit card holders, but you can choose between 5 percent back in rewards or 18-month financing on purchases of $479 or more. And, if you’re an Elite Plus Best Buy Rewards member, the reward goes up to 6 percent. When you sign up, you receive a 10 percent discount on your first purchase.

Amazon Prime Store Card

If you love shopping on Amazon, you’ll love the Amazon Prime Store Card. Whenever you make purchases on, you’ll earn 5 percent cash back. Are Store Credit Cards Right for You?

To avoid dinging your credit score or taking on more debt than you can afford, you shouldn’t apply for a store credit card every time you walk into a new store. But, store cards for stores you frequent offer a range of benefits, including lucrative rewards points, access to special events, annual gifts and exclusive access to VIP promotions.

More major retail card options are expected to be available in upcoming months, as Starbucks recently announced the launch of their credit card with Chase. The coffee shop expects to release their very own credit card to the public this winter, allowing Starbucks fanatics to really start cashing in on their brand loyalty.
