Chime offers a large ATM customer-centric system with no in-network ATM fees. Chime’s ATM network works with Allpoint and Visa Plus Alliance ATMs, as well as MoneyPass ATMs in 7-Eleven locations. Users will find Chime-branded ATMs at many Walgreens and Circle K locations. All in all, Chime provides more than 50,000 fee-free ATMs for its members.

What Are Chime ATM Withdrawal and Deposit Limits?

Like any banking service or financial institution, Chime sets withdrawal and deposit limits that users are subject to.

Chime ATM Withdrawal Limits

The Chime withdrawal limits vary depending on the withdrawal method. They are as follows:

Type of Withdrawal Amount
ATM withdrawal limit $515 per day
Cash back at the point of sale Varies by merchant, up to $515 per day
Over-the-counter withdrawal $515 per day
Card purchases that require signature and PIN $2,500 per day

Chime ATM Deposit Limits

There are several ways to deposit money into your account, and the limits are as follows:

Type of Deposit Amount
Direct deposit No limit
Fund transfer No limit
Mobile check transfer Up to $2,000 per check and up to $10,000 per month
Cash deposit at participating retailers $1,000 per day and up to $10,000 per month

Chime does not accept any cash deposits at its ATMs, but you can deposit cash at more than 75,000 retail locations. Retailers use third-party services, like Green Dot, to load funds into your Chime Spending Account. Some retailers include:

  • Dollar General
  • Walgreens
  • CVS
  • Rite Aid
  • Circle K
  • Walmart
  • 7-Eleven
  • Kwik Trip
  • Family Dollar
  • Speedway
  • Pilot Flying J
  • Holiday Stationstores

Some retailers might charge fees for this service.

Find retailers near you by logging into the Chime app, clicking “Move Money,” “Deposit Cash” and then “See locations near me.”

How To Increase Your Chime ATM Withdrawal and Deposit Limits

Although the Chime website specifically states its ATM withdrawal limit is $515 per day, some users on Reddit report having a daily withdrawal limit of up to $3,030. It’s hard to say exactly why this is, but one theory presented is that your limit can change over time depending on your account activity.

To view your current account limits in Chime:

  • Open the app
  • Tap the gear icon to go into Settings
  • Select “View Limits”

You may also contact Chime customer service with any questions by calling 844-244-6363.

What Affects Your Chime ATM Withdrawal and Deposit Limits?

Chime ATM withdrawal and deposit limits are set the same across the website, though some users online report having larger limits than others. Many financial institutions will increase your limits over time based upon your account history and activity, so it’s possible Chime does the same. On its page about personal account limits, Chime says, “These limits may change at any time, and we’ll notify you by email if they do.”

How To Withdraw and Deposit More Than the ATM Limits at Chime

If you need to withdraw more than the $515-per-day ATM limit at Chime, you can go into a bank or credit union with your Chime Visa® debit card or Chime Secured Credit Builder Visa® credit card and request an over-the-counter withdrawal. However, Chime still implements a $2,500 maximum daily “spend” limit on the debit card, and the credit card is subject to a daily cash advance limit of $1,015. There is typically a $2.50 transaction fee for each over-the-counter withdrawal, whereas in-network ATMs have no fee.

If you need to make a large deposit, your best bet is to use an ACH transfer from another account. Chime places no deposit limits on these transactions.

Chime ATM Fees and Charges for Exceeding Withdrawal and Deposit Limits

Chime’s fee for using an out-of-network ATM is $2.50 per transaction. You may end up paying more if the ATM provider chooses to charge an additional fee.

There are no fees for exceeding the Chime ATM withdrawal limit because if you try, the transaction will simply be declined.
